‘The Desire for Freedom’ – Now as smartphone app!

‘Good things come to those who wait’ – our exhibition app is finally and officially in the stores!

It took us a while, but after all this is our first exhibition application for smartphones and there are definitely things you only learn during the process of developing. Anyway are we smarter now, have an app and it’s free!

There is an iPhone version as well as an Android version.

The app includes of course our chapters and artists, the art works and long essays about the art. Furthermore there are artist biographies and audio files with background information for selected works.

What else is there? For one, we wanted you to be able to express your opinion about what you see and be able to discuss it with others. That is why underneath every art work you will find a comment button. To be able to comment you need to log on to Facebook (through ‘Settings’ – here you can also switch between German and English).

The topic of our exhibition is freedom and what all comes with it (or doesn’t). With this app we also wanted to give you the possibility to show others what you think freedom means and included the option ‘Show Freedom’. Here you can upload pictures of your own and discuss them with others.

For you to be able to find the art works you love most really fast, we included the option Favorites. Just touch the heart on the artworks that you love and find them in the Favorites gallery!

The app is quite big, so better use a Wifi to download it. And as always, we would love to hear your comments and opinions!

And this is what it looks like:

  • Initial Screen
  • Main Menu
  • Artists & Works
  • Chapter (Detail)
  • Artist (Detail)
