Free admission

Come along on a journey of discovery, take a peek behind the scenes, join in, and celebrate: at Museumsfest visitors can expect a varied programme of talks, guided tours, hands-on activities, and, of course, music, as well as free admission to all exhibitions.

Family Programme

Explore the permanent exhibition as part of a treasure hunt or with a discovery booklet, visit the Middle Ages with knights or the coasts of Europe with the hobgoblin, pose for a special family photo in historical costumes – Museumsfest offers an exciting programme for all ages.

Expert Talks

What goes into planning an exhibition, and what makes an object of value to a history collection? DHM staff discuss what makes their jobs special and introduce visitors to some of the museum’s prized treasures.
