As a Jewish and socialist lawyer, Fred Stein had to flee Germany in 1933. In Exile, first Paris, and then New York, he worked as a portrait and press photographer.

We would like to experience Fred Stein’s work together with you in our interactive online sessions, where we’ll focus on fleeing and migration in Stein’s work and establish connections between the past and present. Through short clips and photographs, as well as the diver’s perspectives of the Multaka guides, we aim to make the work of Fred Stein relevant and accessible, during person-based and intriguing online experiences.
