Listen up! This was the opening line of last year's inclusive film weekend, which presented accessible versions of movies and held a discussion on the conditions for successful inclusion in the cinema. All films were presented as audio films. The audio description produced for blind and visually impaired people, which describes the images in the films in acoustic form, could be heard by the entire cinema audience in the theater, allowing them to experience the film with their ears. It was a special cinema experience for all visitors!

The Deutsche Kinemathek and the Zeughauskino, both of which are committed to cultural participation, are now continuing their collaboration. The new audio film series focuses on “Berlin films.” The films tell stories about Berlin and its residents and show our city in the past and present. Listen up! Let's listen to the voices and sounds of the city!

We are happy to offer visitors with visual impairments support in preparing for and attending the cinema. We will reserve seats for you and your companion and inform you in advance about the local conditions in the Pei Building of the German Historical Museum. We are also happy to assist you upon arrival. Just send a short message in advance to zeughauskino@dhm.de.

The series Listen up! Inclusive cinema ... with audio description is organized in cooperation with the Deutsche Kinemathek and the Allgemeiner Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverein Berlin (General Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Berlin).

Admission is free!
