• The German Historical Museum (Deutsches Historisches Museum) is hosting a symposium about everyday life in the former German colony on Jiaozhou-Bay on June 12 and 13, 1998. The event will be open to the public. Please contact the Museum for further information.
• The study-trip to China titled "Traces of Germany in China" will take participants to Qingdao and to Beijing for one week, from May 29 to June 5, 1998.
  The cost is approximately DM 2,400, for a single room an extra payment.
