Accessibility

Both the Zeughaus and the Exhibition Hall of the German Historical Museum can be reached without having to use stairs. All exhibition rooms are accessible through elevators suitable for wheelchairs. Wheelchairs, mobile seating and buggies for small children can be borrowed at the information stands in the Zeughaus and the Exhibition Hall.

Assistance dogs are welcome.

We offer tours through the Permanent Exhibition “German History in Images and Artefacts” and in Special Exhibitions for the blind and visually impaired as well as tours in sign language, by arrangement. You can find further information about these tours in the section Education & Communication.

In front of the "Palais am Festungsgraben" opposite the Exhibition Hall there are two public parking spaces for the disabled. You can find further information about barrier-free travels in Berlin under www.berlin.de as well as under www.mobidat.net.
