Inclusive cinema... with audio description
Open your ears! Under this title, the Deutsche Kinemathek and the Zeughauskino present films in accessible versions. The entire cinema audience can hear and experience with their ears the audio descriptions produced for blind and visually impaired people, which describe the images in the films in acoustic form. A fascinating cinema experience for everyone!
The audio film series Open your ears! currently focuses on films about Berlin that tell the story of the city and its inhabitants and show Berlin in the past and present. We are happy to assist visitors with visual impairments when they visit the cinema. We reserve seats, provide information in advance about the local conditions in the Pei building of the German Historical Museum, and offer assistance on site.
