On 9 November, Germany commemorates, among other things, the nationwide Jewish pogroms of 9 November 1938. This themed tour focuses on early depictions of the Holocaust and shows how survivors made their stories visible. Objects are presented that bear witness to Jewish perspectives on Nazi violence, such as the film recording with a report by survivor Hela Goldstein, which combines personal experiences with collective history. The tour also addresses how the anti-Semitic dimension of Nazi crimes was often suppressed in the immediate post-war period and what influence this suppression had on remembrance.
