A tour of all the exhibition rooms offers a glimpse not only into the museum’s collection but also into historical themes spanning various eras—from the Middle Ages to the present day. What was the context in which these objects were created? How and why did they find their way into the museum’s collection? What can they tell us about historical spaces, events, and processes? Medieval armor, an engraved ostrich egg from the 17th century, or fragments of mining machinery—like all the other exhibits—tell stories and bear witness to history.
