The audio tour takes visitors on a tour of all the exhibition rooms, providing information on selected objects, a glimpse behind the scenes and opportunities for further exploration. It presents the relationship between humans and nature over 800 years of German history, from Hildegard von Bingen to the anti-nuclear movement. Members of the exhibition team also provide fascinating insights into the conception and design of the exhibition and introduce some of their favourite objects.
Using 22 historical examples, each introduced by illustrations of a plant or animal, the exhibition shows the surprising changes in our understanding of nature. Paintings, globes, maps, books, photographs and interactive stations reveal how nature was defined in the context of faith, biology and power.
The audio guide is available in German and English.
For blind and visually impaired visitors, all main texts, interactive and multisensory stations, and selected objects are accompanied by detailed object descriptions.
