Besucher ertasten und erkunden das Museum


Both the Zeughaus and the Exhibition Hall of the German Historical Museum can be reached without having to use stairs. All exhibition rooms are accessible through elevators suitable for wheelchairs. Wheelchairs, mobile seating and buggies for small children can be borrowed at the information stands in the Zeughaus and the Exhibition Hall.

Assistance dogs are welcome.

We offer tours through the Permanent Exhibition “German History from the Middle Ages to the Fall of the Berlin Wall” and in Special Exhibitions for the blind and visually impaired as well as tours in sign language, also by arrangement. Logo „Accessibility certified“

The Deutsches Historisches Museum was evaluated on February 16, 2017 by a certified provider (Reisen für Alle) and certified with the certificate "Accessibility certified" in regard to be barrier-free for people with mobility problems, barrier-free for wheelchair users, and partly barrier-free for visually impaired people and may carry the certificate from August 2017 to July 2020.
