On 16 October 2026, our new exhibition “Controversial Kinship. Colonial and National Socialist Violence” opens. Curated by Stephan Malinowski, a historian and winner of the German Non-Fiction Prize, the exhibition explores what similarities and differences exist between colonial and national socialist violence. It addresses a debate that dates back almost a century and extends far beyond the field of history. Drawing on historical facts, it aims to contribute to a nuanced discussion and enable visitors to assess the comparisons for themselves.
