Pei building
The temporary exhibition "Hannah Arendt and the Twentieth Century" is open to visitors in the Pei building.

from July 2020: Thursday to Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, Sunday to Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm

Zeughaus
The permanent exhibition in the Zeughaus will be open from 1 July 2020.

Temporary exhibitions: € 8, reduced* € 4, free up to 18 years

For the exhibition “Hannah Arendt and the Twentieth Century” an online ticket is available. The time slots at 10 am and on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 pm are available exclusively for on-site sales.

Important information about visiting the exhibitions

Please note the following before visiting the exhibitions:

  • The generally applicable rules of distance and hygiene apply throughout the building and in the exhibition rooms.
  • Due to the current distance and hygiene regulations we only have a limited capacity in our exhibitions.
  • Wearing a mouth and nose protection is mandatory.
  • The admission to the Permanent Exhibition in the Zeughaus is free. You must register at the ticket office to record the number of visitors to the Zeughaus. Afterwards you can enter the cloakroom, WC and exhibition areas.
  • The Zeughaushof remains closed due to construction work.
  • For the visit of our exhibition “Hannah Arendt and the Twentieth Century” we recommend to purchase an online ticket. On-site tickets are only available in very limited numbers if there are not too many people in the exhibition. Waiting times may be possible on site, even despite an online ticket.
  • All areas and elements of the exhibition will continuously be cleaned. We will furthermore provide disinfectant wipes for the hearing elements and media stations. For your own safety, we recommend that you also bring gloves.
  • Audio guides are available and are thoroughly disinfected after each use. It is recommended to bring your own headphones (3.5 mm).
  • Our digital offers are still available for you.
  • Please remain at home if you show signs of illness or have symptoms of a respiratory disease. You should also not leave the house if in the last two weeks you have been in contact with anyone infected with Covid-19.

Tour booking

From 15 July 2020 we offer bookable personal guided tours for adults and families in small groups up to 8 people.

Other guided tours are currently not offered.

Cloakroom (Garderobe)

Cloakrooms are only available to a limited extent. Please avoid carrying rucksacks, bags or objects larger than 30 x 20 x 10 cm if possible.
