Entrance hall of the Zeughaus, 22 April to 7 May 2017

An exhibition by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung with the kind assistance of the Deutsches Historisches Museum.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Konrad Adenauer the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is presenting an exhibition in the entrance hall of the Zeughaus dedicated to the policy on Germany of the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The core of Konrad Adenauer’s policy on Germany was his commitment to the unity of the state. In order to achieve the political aim of German reunification, he strove to make Germany an integral part of the free West.

The exhibition shows that Adenauer’s government laid the groundwork for the guarantee of freedom and constitutionality as well as the restitution of state unity in freedom by concluding a series of groundbreaking contracts and by integrating the Federal Republic into the European communities and the transatlantic system of alliances.
