Guided Tour for Students “Controversial Kinship. Colonial and National Socialist Violence”

How are colonial and Nazi violence linked, and how do they differ? The students explore these key questions during a tour designed to encourage dialogue, using a variety of objects: advertising posters for “colonial goods”, uniforms and weapons, as well as everyday items such as a doll or postcards featuring racist imagery. In this way, they engage with topics such as racism, resistance, collaboration and forced labour, whilst developing their own historical judgement. The focus of the tour is tailored to the student group and the teaching context and can be adapted by arrangement.
